The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers

The primary description of Angels in scripture is that of "Spiritual
Messengers". Both the Hebrew word, mal'akh, from the Old
Testament, and the Greek word, angelos, from the New Testement mean
"messenger". This is true whether describing either human or
divine angels. The important thing to note is that regardless
of which term is used to describe an Angel, the word itself
indicates a function or a duty rather than a nature. The word
tell us what Angels do, not what they are.
Absolutely
they do. There are more than 200 references to angels in the
bible and most of these references indicate that an angel is interacting
with Gods creation, mankind, by providing guidance or assisitng in
an outcome of some kind. Angels are heavenly beings, therefore
they have spiritual bodies, though they often present themselves as
active and effective agents in our world. These spiritual bodies must
closely resemble our human bodies as angels are frequently mistaken
for men on many occassions in the bible. An example of
this is in the book of Genesis, in Chapter 19. In this
reading, Lot fails to recognize two visitors as angels that have
come to him in Sodom. He is "unaware" that they are not men,
but actually angels, as he takes them into his house. This
incident would lead us to believe that angels have the ability to
take an extraordinary likeness to humanity when it is necessary for
them to interact with mankind.
As ambassadors of God, angels are placed in the intermediate realm
between God and humanity. Never confuse angels with God, they
are not eternal and they were created by God. Although angels
are beyond our ability to fully comprehend or understand, they are
not omniscient as is God. Though they are marvelous creatures,
full of splendor and glory; it is a God given source of strength,
inspiration, and encouragement for the faithful. Angels have
the ability for error as when Lucifer, the Morning Star, rebelled
and defected. Even leading a revolt against his creator and
falling from his place in heaven. Because of this we are warned
by the Apostle Paul to never elevate angels or things associted with
them above God the Father, Jesus the Son, or the Holy Spirit.
Now that we've given a brief
explanation of the purpose of Gods angels, affirmed that they do interact
with mankind, and given a brief warning that Angels are not God we
